James Barabe, Managing Partner.
Mr. Barabe brings 25 years of professional experience to Kidd's Hill Capital. Mr. Barabe's experience with small businesses began with his first job at age 14 in a family restaurant and continued through college as he worked as a commercial fisherman.
Mr. Barabe has a master's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology which led him to a career with government agencies and with large corporations working on government contracts.
Mr. Barabe earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Mergers and Acquisitions from Babson College to learn how to best create and capture value in the world of small business.
Mr. Barabe has extensive experience in sales, team recruiting and management, training, presentations, business strategy, commercial and residential construction, renewable energy, forensic accounting, turnaround financing and product design and development.
Mr. Barabe is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, training bird dogs, collecting wild edibles, reading, and cooking.

This Partner has started and sold numerous business including a large biotech/pharma company that he took public. He is retired and invests in small businesses and startups while splitting his time between golfing and chasing his grandchildren.
He has known Mr. Barabe in a personal and professional capacity since 1985. Mr. Barabe was first mate on the tuna fishing boat owned and captained by this partner in 1987.

This Partner acquired a small plumbing business and grew it to a $10 million dollar per year commercial plumbing, HVAC, and metal fabrication company. The company grew through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
He is also "mostly retired" and is enjoying travel and time with his grandchildren while investing.
